[SOLVED] Network Notification didnot show the internet connection and Network Manager Applet not showing
by admin on Mar.02, 2010, under Extraz
Many people asked me the solution for the problem they were facing the problem of not showing network applet in ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Kola. And I went there and then tried different things but I did not found any easy solution. And then I upgraded the gnome from the internet. After that I restarted my system. I found that it worked. But I could not find the base how that did not worked. And I again downgraded the update of the gnome files. And I found no problems though. And again after some reboot of the PC, he got the same problem after then. Then I tried removing my desktop environment. After that I tried Installing KDE(Kubuntu Desktop Environment). After that I installed “kNet” for KDE. And then wow everything has been working fine in my friend’s computer.
I could not figure out the real time problem but I think most of the application that has not been working can work after changing the desktop environment. But most of the applications that we use are in one environment(gnome) may not work in another environment(KDE). But there is no problem because there is every alternative application for each Desktop Environment.
